Orion is less polished than some of the live web projects, but it represents an important part of the T-drive habit: collecting technical material before the product shape is obvious.
Where it is now
The Orion project area contains raw datasets and references around CAN bus, open vehicle diagnostics, VESC, embedded firmware, opendbc, MCP2515, and related tooling. It is a research base rather than a single finished app.
The barriers
The barrier here is breadth. Vehicle and embedded systems work crosses hardware protocols, firmware, diagnostics, data schemas, and safety. The useful first step is not pretending to have a finished product; it is building a library of source material and patterns.
How I am approaching it
Orion is being treated as a corpus: gather, index, understand, and then extract product opportunities. That mirrors the wider stack: build the memory first, then build the interface.
